Details: | Congress theme. Deep Listening: bridging divides in local and global ethics. The Congress includes three sub-themes: 1. indigenous health ethics; 2. public health ethics from local and global perspectives; and 3. a half day in common with the FAB meeting (see below) on the theme 'refiguring the body'. The Congress will be held at the University of New South Wales which is a short distance from Sydney city centre. This campus is tastefully laid out and attractive and is well equipped for international meetings, with a new building (Scientia) that is ideal for the opening function, good facilities for plenaries, concurrent sessions and catering. Satellite conferences include the 5th International Conference of FAB (Feminist Approaches to Bioethics) and 5th International Meeting of National Bioethics Advisory Bodies These events are to be held from Sunday 7th â Tuesday 9th November 2004. |
