Details: | Welcome to the Conference "Perceptions and Evaluations of Gene-Technology", 4-5 December 2003 How do we understand and interpret new gene-technologies in human reproduction, in medicine in general, in the breeding of animals or in food industry? What perceptions and what questions do different gene-technologies evoke? How are these perceptions articulated and how are questions dealt with? How are gene-technologies presented and how are they evaluated? These and other related questions will be discussed in an interdisciplinary forum during the conference. Ethical, communicative and societal perspectives on gene-technology will be brought together in order to provide a broad discussion on these challenging and complex issues.
