Scaling-up of Biopharmaceutical Products - Conference - The Netherlands

Date: 26.01.2004, 08:00h to 27.01.2004, 18:00h
Location: Amsterdam Hilton, Apollolaan 138, NL 1077 BG Amstedam, The Netherlands
Amsterdam
The Netherlands
Keywords: Pharmaceutics/drugs
Details: There are great pressures on your industry to accelerate the process development of a biopharmaceutical whilst simultaneously scaling up drug supply for clinical trials. Companies are keen to implement early strategies to ensure continuity of development and to avoid the need to rework process development. This conference will focus on the transition of biopharmaceutical products from discovery to pre-clinical, to Phase I/II, Phase III, launch and commercial scale-up. The presentations will be case study driven and cover the relevant points of bioprocessing which are critical for clinical and commercial success to meet your economic targets. This event will help you understand how others have succeeded in scaling-up their biologics in a timely fashion, while avoiding the common stumbling blocks that occur when scaling-up a manufacturing process. The use of case studies within the conference programme will reveal how to... * develop a successful biopharmaceutical manufacturing process and characterise the product for the clinic * translate small scale synthesis to large scale manufacturing * combat the regulatory issues associated with scale-up * shrink development time and increase results * decrease time to clinic and market * develop a validatable manufacturing process that can be scaled up with minimal difficulty * meet the requirements of reliability, quality and quantity of materials
