| Details: | Modern biotechnology can provide innovative approaches to management of animal populations, but what about potential risks? This forum will facilitate exchange of views on a range of important issues including the use of GM microorganisms, nematodes and insects for biological control; the use of GM viruses to protect mammal populations against disease; and the use of GM insects for reducing disease transmission rates. This discussion forum will be hosted on the Biosafety Clearing-House from 18 October to 15 November 2004. |
