| Details: | The discussion will have a particular emphasis on vulnerable patient populations. Its focus will be on the draft recommendations and guidelines developed by EUROSOCAP within this area. Another objective of the conference is also to 'establish a wider network of experts in the areas of privacy and confidentiality in healthcare which will be well placed as a monitoring and evaluation group for the European Commission on issues concerning confidentiality in healthcare' with a view to establishing a network. Participation has been invited from 'international, EU and national health policy leaders; representatives of professional organisations and service user organisations; members of European ethics committees and regulatory authorities; academics and lawyers' as well as key figures in the EC and European Parliament. |
