| Details: | As an institutionalized discipline which reflects on how to deal with new developments in biology and medicine, bioethics plays a role in various academic fields of study as well as in the newly forming realms of interaction between science, politics and society. The confrontation with increasingly complex undertakings in the area of bioethics requires a greater consideration of the specific methods which are applied and the scope and demarcation of individual academic disciplines. The DFG-Post-Graduate-College ?Bioethics? would like to help further the development of bioethics as an independent, self-contained area of research. In this sense, the conference provides an arena in which questions concerning the foundations of ethical judgements and cooperation between disciplines as well as the implementation of theoretical insights can be discussed. The language of the conference will be German. |
