| Details: | The Fraunhofer Life Science Symposium has turned out to be a successful event, offering a platform for researchers, clinicians as well as industry to discuss new developments in the fast growing field of Regenerative Medicine. An important aspect which the Fraunhofer Life Science Symposium has pursued since its beginning in 2006 is creating a connection between research and industry. Therefore sponsors and exhibitors from biotech and pharma will present themselves and their innovative technologies in an industry exhibition at the symposium. The major theme on the 3rd Fraunhofer Life Science Symposium is “Ischemia and Regeneration” with focus on stroke, cardiac infarction and circulation disorders. Additional Sessions will include stem cells in ischemic diseases. Leipzig is the location of one of the German centres for Regenerative Medicine. There are many researchers who work in one of the multiple institutions here, for example the Translational Centre for Regenerative Medicine, the Biotechnical and Biochemical Centre, the University of Leipzig and also the Fraunhofer Institute. Leipzig constitutes an excellent coulisse for events concerning themes around Regenerative Medicine. Furthermore Leipzig as a lively city that is famous for its trade and fairs as well as theatres and cabarets which offer various possibilities to make your stay a unique experience. |
