Toward to professionals of bioethics and applied ethics, professionals from different fields of knowledge, students, teachers, managers, environmentalists and ONGs, government and industry, opinion formers and society in general, the VIII Brazilian Congress of Bioethics has in its programming courses, meetings and lectures taught by the most respected names in academic and scientific from all over Brazil, and Argentina, Puerto Rico, Japan, Norway, Mexico, Uruguay and Chile. The expectation for this year is that there are over 1,000 participants, exceeding its last edition held in São Paulo, where the event had about 800 participants. The 8th edition of the congress, chaired by Prof.Dra. Marlene Braz, proposes to emphasize the issue of globalization as a complex unity and issues, discussing the risks and possible benefits of technologizing as well as the increasing of individual rights and duties, which may counter to the common good, thereby conflicts and may be related to increased violence and consumerism environmentally irresponsible.
The risks, caused by reckless development with planetary limits, have led the country to think about sustainable development, this is, grow to where it is reasonably possible, without destroying. In the discussion on this complex reality and conflict are all involved, whether individuals, companies, governments, and civil society as a whole. |
