Description: SIBLE is an inter-faculty institute of the University of Sheffield, created in July 1994, as a response to the legal and ethical problems generated by developments in biotechnology.

It is currently involved in a number of projects and activities, including Bioethics Today (http://www.shef.ac.uk/bioethics-today/), a Wellcome Trust-funded project to build up a national network and database on ethics in the life sciences for United Kingdom.
